She saw the sign. She looked right at it. Still Phoenix really felt like getting into the lake due to the ridiculously hot summer they were having. Forget the stupid 'enchanted' warning, like that was a real thing! Phoenix dipped her toes in and sure enough, it was cool. Quickly she slipped her entire body in, sitting on a rock in the water. She had closed her eyes, when something grabbed both her ankles and pulled her under the water completely. Her eyes bolted open as she tried and failed, to get free. She held her breath for as long as she could. Just before she felt like she was going to drown, the mysterious hands let her go. She swam up as fast as she could but was far too deep. Her hands and arms turned white with long white feather growing out while her feet stretched, five toes becoming three and separating long claws growing at the ends. The white feathers moved up her knee to her hips covering Phoenix. With the webbed feet, Phoenix was able to quickly get to the surface. As her head pushed out into the open air, her hair color shifted from a deep red to a violet color with highlights.

Phoenix looked over her body ruffling her tail and shaking out her feathers. "Ummm.....my bad?"
